History
The name of this Regiment was changed from 6 Division Cavalry on 2 January 1943. This Unit had a small launch attached to it for resupply called the Parsee. In August 1942, A and B Squadrons were at Mt. Pleasant, C Squadron with 3 Troop was at Gumpa Springs, 4 Troop was at the mouth of the Daly River and 6 Troop was at Mt. Litchfield. The B Echelon was located at the Litchfield homestead. Some men from this Unit joined the Pack Animal Training Unit.,
